Adam Wright is an alumnus of the University of Tennessee - Knoxville. He graduated from UT-K in May of 2011 with a BM in Music Education. He was a member of the Pride of the Southland Marching Band at UT-K. Mr. Wright was also a member of the Tennessee Trombone Choir, University of Tennessee Symphonic Band, Studio Orchestra, the Tennessee Trombone Quartet and many other ensembles.
Mr. Wright is in his 13th year as director of Campbell County Schools' bands. He accepted the position on recommendation from Don Hendricks, director emeritus, in the summer of 2014. Before becoming director of bands, Mr. Wright served as the general music teacher at La Follette Elementary School for one year. He also spent one year as an assistant band director at Powell Middle School in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was also the Low Brass Tech with Powell High School's marching band. Mr. Wright student taught with Janet Roach, M.J. Robinson and Ricky Shaw at Powell Middle School and Powell High School in Knoxville, TN. He also has countless hours of teaching private lessons around the greater Knoxville area on low brass instruments and guitar.
Mr. Wright now serves as the band director for Campbell County High School, where he conducts the Cougar Marching Band, Concert Band, and Jazz Band. He also directs the bands for Jacksboro Middle School. He is responsible for the beginning bands and advanced bands.
Now in her third year directing the band programs at LaFollette Middle School and Campbell County High School, Mrs. Braden has brought a fresh, modern approach to the marching band. She is the founder of the award-winning indoor winds ensemble, which premiered in spring 2025.
In addition to conducting the marching and concert bands, she teaches drum major classes and leads a comprehensive middle school program, including 6th-grade band, 7th/8th-grade beginning band, and 7th/8th-grade advanced band. She also established a middle school pep band that performs at football games.
Mrs. Braden has served as Director of Bands since the spring of 2023. She is an alumna of the University of Tennessee–Knoxville, where she earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Education in the fall 2023. During her time at UT, she performed with the Pride of the Southland Marching Band, Tennessee Trumpet Ensemble, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and other ensembles. She also served as treasurer of the collegiate chapter of the National Association for Music Education and was a member of Women of UT Music.
Mrs. Braden gained valuable instructional experience as a trumpet technician for the Farragut High School Marching Band and completed her student teaching at Clinton High School, Clinton Middle School, and North and South Clinton Elementary Schools.
Mrs. Braden is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Tennessee Music Education Association, East Tennessee Band and Orchestra Association, Tennessee Secondary School Band Directors Association, Women Band Directors International, and the East Tennessee Performing Arts Association.
A graduate of Campbell County High School, Mrs. Braden previously served in student leadership roles such section leader and drum major for two consecutive seasons.
Don Hendricks is the former band director of the band programs in Campbell County, TN. He retired after building the band program to what it is today. Over FIFTY years of excellence in teaching has brought the program to a school known for its pride and tradition. He is an alumnus of the University of the Cumberlands. "Mr. H," as many students call him, is one of the most revered citizens in the Campbell County community for his patience, dedication, passion and love for music, but more for his love for teaching students to be the best they can be in all facets of life. He has a faithful group of students, who he inspired, that still have a passion for music instilled into their lives. He plans to continue supporting and uplifting the traditions of this program through instruction and as an ambassador to the public.

Ed Morton has been the backbone of the Campbell County High School Band for over three decades. After retiring from the Army, Mr. Morton has acquired unmatched organizational skills that hold the band program together. As booster president, in which he has served for over 40 years he has volunteered countless hours to the betterment of our music program. Mr. Morton, a former trumpet player with the Jacksboro High School Band has two daughters, Emily and Kathy, that were members of our Cougar Band.
Christy Hibbler is our Guard Instructor and has been on staff with us since 2024.
Christy also founded the Campbell County Winter Guard program which performed its inaugural season in the Spring of 2025.
She has taken this new ensemble to many first place finishes and has been so successful that our program has now been placed in a higher division of competition!
She has also instructed in Knox County 8 years and counting where she presently also is Director of First Baptist Academy Winter Guard.
She graduated from Anderson County High School where she participated in both Fall and Winter Guard all 4 years. She is a guard private lesson instructor during the Spring / Summer months.
Christy also is a graduate from Roane State Community College and is currently employed with Anderson County Schools. She has many years of experience instructing in the ETPAA and WGI circuits along with TBA and was awarded New ETPAA Instructor of the year in 2025. Christy also serves on the ETPAA Board of Directors.
