The Campbell County High School Band Program was established when La Follette High School and Jacksboro High School combined in 1975.
Mr. Don Hendricks was the founding director of the Campbell County High School Marching Band.
Mr. Hendricks started this program practically right out of college at the University of the Cumberlands and grew it to be a staple in the music world of East Tennessee.
Under "Mr. H," the band program collected countless trophies, plaques, and awards. Many of those are still proudly displayed in the band room at CCHS.
Under the tutelage of Mr. H. the band traveled and competed all around - including the Gatlinburg Christmas parade, called the Fantasy of Lights, to marching contests at many notable schools around East and Middle Tennessee, and often participated in the Dogwood Arts Festival.
Soon after starting the CCHS Band program, Mr. Hendricks also decided to educate students further by giving them opportunities to travel out of state on educational trips to places like: New York, Florida, Illinois, North Carolina, Washington D.C.
We will be listing many videos and other performances in the history section of this website in the years to come!
